The now 27-year-old Dublin native also played for Leinster during his 15-year career, and he holds the Six Nations record for most tries scored and is a three-time IRB Player of the Year nominee. He led Ireland to their first Grand Slam in 61 years before retiring from International Rugby in 2014. He’s considered the captain of the most successful Irish rugby team in a generation.

How long have Amy Huberman and Brian O’Driscoll been together?
O’Driscoll met Huberman when he was still the Irish Rugby captain in 2006. They began dating that year, after spotting her during an interview on the Late Late Show, according to Extra.ie. The broadcaster said during a Sky Sports News interview a few years later that he “technically stalked” his now-wife, figuring out which bars she was going to and showing up there at the same time as her through the help of mutual friend Norma Sheehan.
The pair married in 2010 at Lough Rynn Castle in Leitrim. Since then, the couple has made public appearances regularly and shared glimpses of their relationship on social media. They’ve also spoken of each other during interviews.
“Yeah, humor is important, and we just try not to take things too seriously,” Huberman told The Times in 2023. “It’s good-humored slagging — I know if I slag him I will absolutely get that back. And it was probably during COVID, when we were in the house together so much, we were probably looking for different things to be able to slag each other about. The couple welcomed a daughter, Sadie, in 2013. In fact, Brian hurried to the hospital for Sadie’s birth after captaining Ireland in a Six Nations tournament game against England.
Last year, Huberman wished her daughter a happy birthday on Instagram. “Happy birthday to my eldest,” she wrote. “Gosh I find Ireland V England Six Nations match days so much more relaxing now that I don’t have to have a kid just before kick off. Although I do miss saying ‘crouch, pause, head’s almost engaged’ at the same time.”
They’ve since had two more children. Sons Billy and Ted were born in 2014 and 2020. They play rugby just like their dad.
