Expressing her disappointment for her father’s absence, Mallorie explained, “It’s not surprising. You know, my dad hasn’t really shown up for much of anything in the last probably 10 years of my life. But this moment for me is the last straw when it comes to my dad disappointing me.”

According to Mallorie, he called her to let her know the reason. She revealed, “He called me a couple days ago, and he goes, ‘I just don’t feel comfortable with you marrying Rasit, because I’m Christian, and he’s Muslim.'”
