Belle-A Walker is opening up about navigating the friend group drama in Love Island: Beyond the Villa Season 2.
In Beyond the Villa, Belle-A assumes the peacemaker role amongst the Love Island USA Season 7 Islanders. Having been eliminated only six episodes in, Belle-A avoided most of the villa messiness last summer, but that isn’t the case in the spinoff show. In the outside world, viewers see her trying to “bridge the gap” between a divided group. She’s befriended Bryan Arenales after his breakup with Amaya Espinal, and in Episode 4, Belle-A defended Charlie Georgio during an argument with his villa ex, Hannah Fields.
In the aftermath, Amaya told Hannah about her mixed feelings about Belle-A’s friendship with Bryan. Hannah brought up how Belle-A’s defense of Charlie “invalidated [her] feelings” about him speaking about her during a podcast appearance. At the end of the episode, Belle-A explained to some of her fellow Islanders that she felt left out of the group and started crying. In an interview with Swooon on April 14, the reality star recalled, “I was definitely heartbroken navigating that a lot because it’s tough being in the middle, and you don’t want to be in the middle, but everybody just holds such a special place in my heart.”

“This is real life,” she continued. “Everybody has their struggles, everybody has their mess-ups. I wanted to create a space for people to take accountability and to grow from there and to potentially not mend the friendships, but at least just clear the air and for everybody to get the closure that they deserve, whether they admit that they want it or not.”
Belle-A hinted that, throughout the season, part of her story will continue to develop. “I think people will get to see me trying to find my place in this cast, too, and find my spot and figure out who’s my friend and who’s not my friend,” she said. “It’s really tough when you just want everybody to be friends and everybody to love you, and there to be just peace among the group.”
