That didn’t take long.
Love Island USA Season 8 has only been on for a couple of days, and the internet has already started shipping different Islanders together. If you were around for the Nicolandria phenomenon of summer 2025, then you already know that if there’s one thing Love Island fans love to do, it’s ship. It doesn’t matter how realistic a pairing is or if they’re happily in different couplings. Fans have their own ideas of who should and shouldn’t be together, and they’ll make plenty of TikTok edits to reflect that.
My social media feed has seen more hype around two Season 8 Islanders over all the others — and it may not be who you think. Unless your algorithm is similar to mine, that is.
From what we can discern, it all started with Episode 2’s Paradise Cove twist. Kayda, Zach, and Bryce spent 24 hours in their own little hut, and production had them sleep in the same bed. Though it was intended to help Kayda decide which boy to couple up with, Love Island USA seemed to push the throuple agenda. It led to some interesting situations. In the middle of the night, Kayda — who slept in the middle — started kissing Zach. Bryce scooted over to their side of the bed, trying to get a kiss from her too before she swerved him.
That’s all it took. In the end, Kayda coupled up with Zach, but a good portion of fans have started fixating on Bryce and Zach instead. Some have started shipping them together — maybe it’s the Challengers-esque nature of that Paradise Cove setup. “The people yearn for bi island,” says the top comment on a Bryce-and-Zach TikTok video, which racked up over 500,000 likes in under a day. Another commenter says, “Do yall think if we get started early enough production will make them kiss?”

There are others loving the bromance of it all. Some have already dubbed Bryce and Zach the next Aaron and Rob. The two former Islanders formed a close friendship during Season 6, for those newer to the Love Island USA game. They also had their fair share of shippers in their day, if we remember correctly.
Of course, Bryce and Zach aren’t the only ship taking off. Zach and Trinity have gotten their share of fan edits, too, which we can also get behind. But still, we think the main takeaway here is that there is a demand for bisexual Love Island. Double the opportunity for drama! Maybe producers will come to the same conclusion after seeing the Bryce and Zach fan momentum. Can we manifest a bi cast for Love Island USA Season 9?
