Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh got into another major argument during the July 13 episode of 90 Day: The Last Resort, which Jenny has confirmed was filmed before she was diagnosed with ALS.
During their last season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Jenny and Sumit moved in with his parents because they were no longer in the financial state to live alone. They also opened The Family Cafe with his family, which has since closed. Now, Sumit has revealed to Jenny and the rest of The Last Resort cast that he hasn’t been entirely truthful about their current financial status.
Instead of getting financial support from his parents, as Jenny thought, Sumit revealed that he took out a loan to cover both their and his parents’ expenses. “Honestly, I’m gonna tell you the truth. There is something which I was, I need to come clean with. Original plan was that we were going to move in with the parents because they were going to help financially. But after a couple of months, like, I don’t know what happened. They stopped paying,” he revealed. “For that, I took some loans.”
Of course, these weren’t just some loans. When asked how much money he has borrowed, Sumit explained, “Like, in numbers, it might be about 15 to 20 thousand dollars.” In response, Jenny fired back in shock, “That’s not right.”
Jenny later revealed that she had no idea about their debt, telling the cast, “He didn’t discuss it. He just did it. He doesn’t respect me enough.”
Sumit defended his choice, explaining, “I didn’t tell Jenny about this loan because she will not understand that why I was paying, and she will get mad.”
Before she stormed out of the wilderness therapy session, Jenny told Sumit, “I don’t even know why we are in marriage therapy if you don’t even care about being honest. You need to understand what I want and work a little harder to make it happen for me.”
While Jenny kept it cool at couples’ therapy, she told Sumit when he got back in their tent, “You’re being a real a**hole right now.”
