Another season of Farmer Wants a Wife has come and gone. Throughout the fourth season, viewers got to watch as the three Season 4 farmers — Braden Pridemore, Brett Maverick, and Sean Cavanaugh — fell in love. Now that this chapter of the Fox reality series is over, we’re already thinking about Farmer Wants a Wife Season 5.

The show, a U.S. version of the hit Australian series, debuted on Fox in 2023 and has become a staple of our reality TV viewing. Swooon has all the details about the future of Farmer Wants a Wife and what we know about Season 5.

Will Farmer Wants a Wife return for Season 5?

As of June 2026, Fox hasn’t officially renewed Farmer Wants a Wife for Season 5 — but don’t fret. The network didn’t publicly announce the renewal of the show’s fourth season until February of this year, but the season had already been filmed. Farmer Wants a Wife Season 5 could get the same quiet renewal and announcement rollout.

Kimberly Williams-Paisley has been the host of Farmer Wants a Wife for the past two seasons, taking over from Jennifer Nettles. If the show is renewed, we’ll find out whether or not the 9-1-1: Nashville star will be stepping back onto the FWAW set as the emcee.

When will Farmer Wants a Wife Season 5 air?

Farmer Wants a Wife has always aired in late winter or spring. Season 4 premiered on April 21 and aired over the course of eight weeks. If the show gets the green light for a fifth season, production would likely start later this year, leading to a 2027 premiere date for Season 5.

Given how the three farmers of Season 4 found love, we’d likely see a trio of farmers make up the Season 5 cast. In previous seasons, there had been four farmers per season.

What happened at the end of Farmer Wants a Wife Season 4?

All three farmers found love in Season 4. Brett and Quinn are still going strong, as are Braden and Casey. Sean and Emily are also still together. The three couples have been dating for about seven months as of June 2026.

Braden gushed, “They’re really looking great, and we’re looking forward to the future, for sure.” As for Sean and Emily, they’re “inseparable,” he said. “I packed up my truck, moved to Georgia with her for a few months, and now, we’ve been back and forth in between California and Georgia, really kind of taking in the best of both worlds. And for the summer, we’re here on the ranch, living farm life,” he told Swooon.
